Evangel University Concert Orchestra to perform on Tuesday, March 31

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel University Concert Orchestra will perform its spring concert on Tuesday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the Spence Chapel Auditorium.  Music student Aaron Parrales will be the featured soloist.

The concert is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

The 46-piece orchestra will accompany Parrales in a performance of Saint-Saens’ ever-popular Morceau de concert.

In addition, the Orchestra will perform a Slavonic Dance by Dvorak, music from Bizet’s colorful and tragic opera Carmen, and will close with Metropolitan Portrait, a jazz-inspired work by the German film composer, Ulrich Sommerlatte.

Aaron Parrales:

Soloist, Aaron Parrales is junior music education major from Houston, Texas, and is the son of Arnold and Zulema Parrales. While at Evangel University, Aaron has been an active performer with the Evangel University Orchestra and Concert Orchestra, Marching Band, Chorale and Jazz Orchestra.
