Baylor professor, EU grad, to give philosophy lecture at Evangel

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Dr. Jonathan Kvanvig, distinguished professor of philosophy at Baylor University and ’77 Evangel graduate, will give a lecture titled “Bell’s Hell” at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, in Room 115-B of the Crusader Dining Hall on campus.

Kvanvig’s lecture will address views of hell found in the book Love Wins by controversial author Rob Bell.

Kvanvig has authored numerous books and scholarly articles, including The Problem of Hell (published 1993). He is the owner and administrator of the blog site “Certain Doubts,” which addresses current epistemological topics.
