SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –– The Evangel University Science and Technology Department will host Dr. Matt Stanford, professor at Baylor University, on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. in the Robert H. Spence Chapel.
Stanford serves as professor of psychology, neuroscience and biomedical studies at Baylor. He will speak in chapel on behavioral determinism and will continue his discussion on the intersection of faith and science from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in Trask Hall, Room 101.
“Dr. Stanford’s presentations epitomize Evangel’s integration of faith and learning,” said Dr. Mike Tenneson, professor of biology. “Professors and students in the behavioral sciences, theology and biology are encouraged to attend Dr. Stanford’s seminar.”
Stanford’s research involves the interplay between psychology and faith. He has authored two books, Grace for the Afflicted and The Biology of Sin.
He is the director and co-founder of the Mental Health Grace Alliance, a program that reinforces holistic care through building community and transforming minds.
