Evangel University Chorale & Women’s Chamber Ensemble to present spring concert

EU Chorale

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – The Evangel University Chorale and Women’s Chamber Ensemble will present a spring concert on Thursday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. in the Barnett Recital Hall on EU’s campus.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The Evangel University Chorale is a 45 member select choir that performs on the EU campus and in the community. The mission of the Chorale is to prepare and present the best of sacred classical choral literature. The Chorale, along with the Women’s Chamber Ensemble, will be under the direction of Dr. Tom Matrone, chair of the Department of Music.

The groups will be accompanied by Dr. Greg Morris, EU professor of music, student Amica Bonita, and the EU String Quartet.

The concert will feature the music of Bach, Hogan, Casals, Messian, Walker, and Gjello.

Evangel University Department of Music

The Music Department at Evangel University is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and offers majors in Music, Music Education, Music Performance, Music: Recording Technology and Music: Worship Leadership.
