SPRINGFIELD, Missouri — Evangel University and its embedded seminary, the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS), will host a joint graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 1, 2025, celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2025.
The 67th annual Evangel University commencement and the 52nd annual AGTS commencement will be held together at 6:00 p.m. in Great Southern Bank Arena (formerly JQH Arena), located on the Missouri State University campus in Springfield. Evangel University and AGTS merged in 2013 and have held a unified commencement ceremony since 2018.
This year, the university will honor 681 graduates, including: 31 doctoral degrees, 182 master’s degrees, 257 bachelor’s degrees, and 5 associate degrees. In addition, 43 associates degrees will be rewarded to graduates of the James River Leadership College. The total also includes 77 bachelor’s and 4 associates degrees from the College of Online Learning. Of the graduate-level degrees, AGTS will confer 17 doctoral and 65 master’s degrees.
The most popular undergraduate majors among Evangel’s 2025 graduates are: Business Management, Biblical Studies, Psychology, Allied Health, and Sport Management
The joint commencement ceremony will be live-streamed at evangel.edu/commencement for those unable to attend in person.
Dr. Mike Rakes, president of Evangel University, will deliver the keynote address.
