Evangel University Orchestra to present spring concert April 16

Krystelle Arneson- Third sibling to serve as the featured soloist with the Evangel University Orchestra

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —The Evangel University Orchestra will present its spring concert on Tuesday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the university’s chapel auditorium.

The program will feature junior pianist Krystelle Arneson. She is the third sibling in her family to be honored with a solo performance with the group.

The concert is free and open to the public.

In addition to the Beethoven Piano Concerto, the orchestra will also perform the following:

  • Overture to Candide, by Leonard Bernstein
  • London Symphony, No. 104, by Joseph Haydn
  • Danzón No. 2, by Arturo Márquez

The Evangel University Orchestra is led by Dr. Larry Dissmore, professor of music.

Additional information on the soloist:

Krystelle Arneson is a music performance major. She is the daughter of Darrell and Sharon Arneson of Brooks, Ore.

In 2005, her older sister, Rakel, had the honor of performing the Prokofiev Concerto in D-flat. Then in 2008, the family’s second oldest, Chanelle, performed Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the group.
