Evangel University Orchestra to Perform April 15th

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel University Orchestra will present its Spring 2025 concert on Tuesday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. entitled “An Overture, Three Dances Two Epics, and Two Gems” in the Spence Chapel. 

The diverse program will include music from the 19th Century to the present. Composers represented include Europeans Franz Schubert, Ottorino Respighi, Bedrich Smetana, Pietro Mascagni, and Jean Sibelius; English composer, Edward Elgar; and Canadian film composer, Howard Shore.

The performance is under the direction of Dr. Larry Dissmore, director of Orchestral Activities and Professor of Music at Evangel.

The April 15th University Orchestra Concert is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
