Evangel University professor gives presentation at annual Society of Biblical Literature meeting

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Dr. Wave Nunnally, Dr. Bill Griffin and four students attended the annual central states regional meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature on March 17-18, in St. Louis, Mo.

Griffin presented “Conversational Biblical Hebrew Part II: How should we translate it?” Junior Kaitlyn Justus gave a short presentation with Griffin.

Griffin, professor of Old Testament and Hebrew, and Nunnally, professor of early Judaism and Christian origins, regularly attend these meetings with students who are especially interested in attending seminary.

Student attendees included the following:

  • Levi Bakerink, senior biblical languages and biblical studies major from Springfield, Mo.
  • Rebekah Drach, senior biblical studies major from Manitowoc, Wis.
  • Cameron Enochs, junior biblical languages major from Republic, Mo.
  • Kaitlyn Justus, junior biblical studies major from San Dimas, Calif.

The Society of Biblical Literature is one of the oldest and largest international professional organizations for individuals involved in biblical studies. The organization offers international, national and regional meetings that facilitate biblical discourse.
