SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Evangel University will host the 16th annual “Heritage of Hymns” concert presented by The Messiah Project on Saturday, Oct. 26 in Spence Chapel. The event is free and the community is invited to attend. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a prelude by local professional organists and a bell choir, followed by the concert at 7 p.m.

Also featured are a full orchestra under the direction of Dr. Larry Dissmore, director of orchestra activities at Evangel University, and Ballet Excelsior, a premiere Christian dance company from Houston Texas under the direction of Liza Pollok and Sonja Staines.
This year’s theme of “Gathered as One” will be integrated throughout the evening’s performances with a focus on unity and peace.
