SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – Evangel University will host the 2022 Security Operations Summit (SOS) on its campus from July 28 -30. This will be the fourth annual national convention of Christian security operators held by the Faith Based Security Network (FBSN).
SOS will feature keynote presentations from:
- Col. Dave Grossman, leading expert, author, and speaker in the field of human aggression and the roots of violence and violent crime
- Frank Pomeroy, pastor of First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, TX whose church faced an attack in 2017 that left 26 congregants dead, including Pomeroy’s 14 year old daughter
- Ed Mireles, FBI agent, marine, and author
- Roger Moore, owner of 21st Century Peacekeepers, retired Springfield, Missouri police officer, and assistant professor of Criminal Justice at Evangel.
Additional expert speakers will present on a wide range of security-related topics including active shooter preparation, behavioral pattern recognition, hostage negotiations, suicide awareness, and more.
“This summit will allow law enforcement and security personnel to share collective experiences, hear applicable and effective teaching, and take home great lessons to encourage and strengthen their teams and communities,” Carl Chinn, FBSN president, said.
