Evangel University welcomed new and transfer students, including traditional undergraduates, graduate students, and other non-traditional learners this fall. Official numbers will be finalized by August 28, 2026.

Move-in Day

Residence halls opened for move in, including the new Flood Residence Hall, on Friday, August 14. Evangel student leaders, faculty, staff, and volunteers were on hand to assist students and their families throughout the process. Evangel also welcomed new commuter students that same day with special orientation and direction.

Event Highlights

From Friday through Tuesday, students and families participated in interactive and informative events leading up to the first day of classes on Wednesday, Aug. 19.

  • Friday, 7 p.m. – Parents were able to connect with the Evangel President, cabinet members, and fellow parents at a come-and-go dessert reception. At the same time, new students met their EU Launch leaders and joined small groups to begin building community.
  • Saturday, 9 a.m.–2 p.m. – Students were able to engage in a day of service in partnership with Convoy of Hope, contributing to local and global outreach efforts.
  • Sunday, 10:30–11:30 a.m. – An all-Evangel worship service in Spence Chapel powerfully brought together students, families, faculty, and staff. Starting off the semester in prayer over each student and every aspect of the new year.
  • Monday, 6:30 p.m. – “EU Excursions” allowed new students an opportunity to explore campus and enjoy recreational activities with their Launch groups before classes began.
  • Tuesday, 4:30 p.m. – The annual “Summer Bash” featured games, Pineapple Whip on the quad, and opportunities to connect with other new and returning students.
  • Tuesday, 9 p.m. – igNight, Evangel’s spirited opening ceremony, celebrated the start of the academic year with music, campus traditions, and a fireworks display.

These opportunities allow Evangel students to build community, have their questions answered, and prepare in prayer and thanksgiving for all God wants to do this semester.
