SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – Evangel University will host its second annual Young Adults Conference, “Forged – A Worldview Conference for Young Adults,” Sept. 18-20 in Spence Chapel on the university’s campus. The three-day event, open to community members ages 18-30, invites young adults to combine their faith and intellect as they develop a Christ-centered worldview.
This year’s conference features an expanded format with more than 20 MasterClass breakout sessions on relevant topics such as “Future-Proof: Thriving in the Age of AI Disruption,” “Cash, Credit & Chaos,” and “Be the Leader You’d Follow: Mastering Self-Leadership.”
Main session speakers include:
- Herbert Cooper, nationally known communicator and senior pastor of People’s Church, a multi-site congregation based in Oklahoma City, OK
- Dr. Allen Tennison, theological counsel for the Assemblies of God (AG)
- Brittany Jones, evangelist and co-pastor of Motivation Church in Richmond, VA
- Josh Wellborn, AG national director of young adult ministries
Bridge Worship, a Nashville-based group, will lead music during general sessions.
“Forged is more than a conference—it’s an invitation for young adults to let their hearts and minds be fully engaged,” said Mark Entzminger, Evangel’s vice president for student development. “In a world filled with competing voices, this gathering helps anchor their worldviews and gives them accessible information, rooted in scripture, to help navigate some of today’s most pressing challenges.”
Evening activities will include after-service games, desserts and campus events. Attendees will also enjoy discounts at a variety of local businesses and restaurants throughout the three-day conference.
