SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Department of Theology at Evangel University has announced its graduation awards for 2012.
The awards were given during the baccalaureate
service on Thursday, May 3, in Evangel’s chapel auditorium.
The following Theology awards were presented:
Outstanding Graduate in the Department of Theology—Jonathan D. Sites from Springfield, Mo.
Outstanding Graduate in Biblical Languages—Martin A. Campbell from Lawton, Okla.
Outstanding Graduate in Biblical Studies—Austin T. Jacobs from West Des Moines, Iowa
Outstanding Graduate in Philosophy—Martin A. Campbell
Outstanding Graduates in Intercultural Studies—Cynthia N. Hester from Ashland, Ala. and Adam J. Piper from Marengo, Ill.
Twila Brown Edwards Woman of Distinction Award—Randall V. Van Kempen from Las Vegas, Nev.
Evangel’s 54th annual commencement ceremony was held on Friday, May 4, at James River Assembly of God in Ozark, Mo. Of those graduating, 87 received master’s degrees.
