Lauren Eifert, Rachael Heistand to perform joint recital at Evangel University on Tuesday, April 1

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Two Evangel University music majors will perform a joint, junior recital on Tuesday, April 1, at 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and there is no cost for admission.

Lauren Eifert will perform her portion of the recital specializing in voice. She will be accompanied by Carol Wilson, Springfield area pianist, who has been Eifert’s accompanist since her freshman year.

Eifert is pursuing a degree in music education and hopes to teach children in elementary schools after graduation.  She is the daughter of Gary and Katrina Eifert of Rio Rancho, NM.

Rachael Heistand specializes in the flute for her portion of the recital. She will be accompanied by David Giles, a Springfield musician.

Heistand is pursuing a music degree and hopes to play in an orchestra in Japan after graduation. She is the daughter of Connie Heistand of Shobonier, Ill.

In addition to their solo pieces, the two students will perform as a duet for the songs The Flute Tutor and Une Flute Invisible.
