SPRINGFIELD, MO — Evangel University’s long-time spokesman, Paul K. Logsdon, has been named one of Springfield’s “Men of the Year” for 2014.
He was one of 20 community leaders honored on Evangel’s busy move-in day (Aug. 22, 2014), at a luncheon at BASS PRO’S White River Conference Center.
The award has been presented annually since 2011 by the Springfield Business Journal.
Logsdon is a 1977 Evangel graduate and has served as Evangel’s director of public relations and publications since January 1988. He is responsible for the University’s media relations, advertising and Vision magazine, and supports the Advancement division in its fund-raising efforts.
Another Evangel graduate honored this year was Steve Grant, KY3 (NBC-TV) news anchor. A1976 graduate, Steve is an Emmy Award winning broadcaster and was honored with Evangel’s “Distinguished Alumnus Award” in 2010.
Retired Evangel President Robert H. Spence was honored to be in the SBJ’s very first “Men of the Year” class in 2011.
“Men of the Year” is Springfield Business Journal’s response to the community demand for an event recognizing the professional, philanthropic and personal contributions of men in the Springfield area. Honorees are featured in a special publication and then recognized in an awards power luncheon.
