Students will develop a foundational understanding of the biological principles that govern life. While the degree provides an overview of various biological concepts, the degree is also designed to fit the needs of the student, offering specialized training in animal or plant systems, human biology, environmental biology, anatomy & physiology, etc. Graduates will be equipped to pursue a wide range of career opportunities in both laboratory and field work but is not suitable for students intending to pursue graduate studies in biology. Classes incorporate a Christian worldview into the study of biological science.
Agriculture Track (Effective starting Fall 2026)
The Agriculture track of the Applied Biology program prepares you for a career in today’s fast-changing agricultural industry. This career-focused program combines core biological knowledge with plant and animal science, ecological and environmental systems, and soil management. This degree track provides you with foundational scientific knowledge necessary for roles in agronomy, agricultural research, crop and livestock management, sustainable farming, agriculture technology, and food system innovation, empowering you to solve real-world agricultural challenges and support a more sustainable future.
