Nicholas Hestand, Ph.D.

Nicholas Hestand graduated from Evangel University in 2012 with B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Chemistry. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Temple University in 2017 and subsequently spent 2 years as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Chicago. Nicholas began his appointment at Evangel in 2019 and currently teaches general and advanced chemistry courses in the Department of Natural and Applied Sciences.

Nicholas has contributed to several research projects on topics ranging from energy transport in organic semiconductors to the anomalous behavior of liquid water to the mechanism of ion transport through cellular ion channels.
