SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – Campus updates continue at Evangel as the university prepares to welcome new and returning students for the fall 2022 academic semester. The ongoing enhancements align with EU President Dr. Mike Rakes’ focus on elevating the student experience on campus.
“We want to create spaces on campus for students to enjoy community,” Rakes said. “These ongoing updates are part of our commitment to make Evangel a place students are excited to come to this fall and beyond.”
Construction on the Valor basketball courts has been completed and landscaping and seating areas have been added.
Second floor lobby areas in all residence halls have been repainted, and new furniture and tvs are being installed. Additionally, new hallway carpet is being laid in all dorms.
The concrete walkway around the university’s clocktower has been extended to allow for greater ease of foot traffic through the center of campus.
A new sound system has been installed in Spence Chapel to complement its state-of-the-art LED stage screens and provide an exceptional service experience.
The university recently announced a new construction campaign that will allow for additional significant campus updates, including the complete renovation of a residence hall and new athletic facilities.
