EU Business Department receives $16,000 donation from Forvis Mazars

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – Evangel University’s Business Department recently received a $16,000 donation from Forvis Mazars, LLP, a global accounting firm with an office in downtown Springfield. The Business Department plans to use the gift to renovate its student study room and provide a new student-focused conference room.

“The Business Department is very grateful for this generous gift from Forvis Mazars,” said Dr. Jeremy Harris, department chair. “Not only will the gift improve and enhance the student experience at Evangel, but it will also be a public reminder of the close working relationship we have had, and will continue to have, with Forvis Mazars.”

In 2018, the Business Department opened its BKD Innovative Learning Center, a modern study area for individual and group business and accounting projects.The center was funded by now retired BKD employees who are Evangel alums, primarily Eric Hansen, former chief operating officer, and Mike Burlew, former regional managing partner.
