SPRINGFIELD, Mo. —The Evangel Social Work Club will join with the Community Partnership of the Ozarks and the Springfield Police Department for the Expired Prescription Take-Back event on Saturday, Sept. 29.

The community is invited to anonymously drop off expired prescriptions and medications at multiple locations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“With the ever-growing problem of addiction to prescription drugs and the need to assure we have clean water in our community, a safe disposal plan was nationally implemented,” said Lacey Nunnally, social work program director. “Communities around America are joining in the campaign for safe disposal of unused medication. This is the Social Work Club’s third time participating in this partnership.”
