SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Department of Music at Evangel University has announced its graduation awards for 2012.
The awards were given during the baccalaureate service on Thursday, May 3, in Evangel’s chapel auditorium.
The following Music awards were presented:
Academic Achievement in Church Music–David C. Mueller from Sunrise Beach, Mo.
Academic Achievement in Music–Benjamin J. Boyer from Battlecreek, Mich. and Deanna K. Collins from Belgium
Academic Achievement in Music Education–Lynette J. Staswick from Lincoln, Neb.
Academic Achievement in Music Industry–James D. Benecasa from Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Academic Achievement in Music Performance–Wesley J. Gore from Springfield, Mo.
Outstanding Senior Musician–James D. Benecasa
Evangel’s 54th annual commencement ceremony was held for 465 graduates on May 4, at James River Assembly of God in Ozark, Mo. Of those graduating, 87 received master’s degrees.
