SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Department of Humanities at Evangel University has announced its 2022 EU Outstanding Graduate awards. The awards were presented during the traditional undergraduate baccalaureate service held on Thursday, May 5 in the Robert H. Spence Chapel auditorium.
The Humanities Department includes majors in art, literature, foreign languages, and theatre.
Students gain hands-on experience through the varied activities sponsored by Humanities, which include theatre productions, a student art gallery, the Epiphany fine-arts magazine, coffeehouse poetry readings, The Write Place lab, and a variety of Artist Series events.

The Class of 2022
Evangel University and the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary celebrated 536 graduates at a joint commencement ceremony at Great Southern Bank Arena (formerly known as JQH Arena) in Springfield on May 5. Graduates earned a total of 31 doctoral, 95 master’s, 360 bachelor’s and 50 associate’s degrees. The majority of the AAs are from Evangel’s James River College campus.
