SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – The Department of Humanities at Evangel University has announced its 2024 EU Outstanding Graduate awards. The awards were presented during the university’s traditional undergraduate baccalaureate service held on Thursday, May 2 in the Robert H. Spence Chapel.
The Humanities Department includes a creative spectrum of studies in foreign languages, literature, and fine and performing arts.
Students gain hands-on experience through a variety of public-facing showcases, including theatre productions, a student art gallery, the Epiphany fine-arts magazine, coffeehouse poetry readings, The Write Place lab, and a variety of Artist Series events.

The Class of 2024
Evangel University and AGTS celebrated 537 graduates at a joint commencement ceremony at Great Southern Bank Arena (formerly known as JQH Arena) in Springfield on May 2. Graduates earned a total of 32 doctoral, 125 master’s, 329 bachelor’s, and 51 associate’s degrees. Of the graduate degrees, 68 master’s degrees and 16 doctoral degrees were conferred by AGTS.
