Karen Benitez

Regions: Graduate Studies

Karen Benitez is the admissions counselor serving graduate students and has worked at Evangel since August 2013.

Karen was an Evangel student for two years, graduating with a B.S. in Psychology in 2010. During her time as an undergrad, she was involved as a discipleship leader, resident assistant and activities board organizer.

After graduation, Karen accepted a teaching position in Colorado and also earned a master’s degree from the School of Urban Missions. “Stepping out in faith,” she decided to pursue opportunities outside the classroom and accepted her current position at Evangel.

“I love Evangel,” Karen says. “The feeling of community and support you receive from faculty is unreal. This is where I wanted to be.”

Outside of work, the Bay Area native enjoys cheering on the San Franciso 49ers and San Francisco Giants.
