Tell us about your career and what you do now.

I serve our Fellowship by leading our 2700-plus missionaries and associates. We work or partner in 255 countries, territories, and provinces. Every 37 seconds someone in the world comes to Christ in the World Assemblies of God Fellowship and a church is planted every 93 minutes. I have served 40 years in missions, beginning as a missionary in Austria in Bible training, youth work, media ministry, and co-planting an international church in Vienna. I served as area director for Central Europe after the Berlin Wall collapsed and served 13 years as regional director for Europe. Prior to missionary ministry, I served as youth pastor at First Assembly in Lima, Ohio, and Central Assembly in Springfield, Missouri.

What is your favorite memory from CBC?

My favorite memories are fellowship with my hall colleagues and the teaching of Dr. Don Johns Sr., Dr. Benny Aker, and Dr. Gary McGee.

How did CBC help you identify/develop your calling?

My campus experience solidified my calling into ministry.

How did your experience at CBC prepare you for life after graduation?

CBC prepared me theologically to work in the U.S. church and in missionary ministry in Europe.

What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?

I would share advice for current students going into ministry and especially missions. Love the Lord with your whole heart. Lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways trust Him. He has a great plan to use you for His glory. The place where you serve is not significant, but how you serve is: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45, NIV).

What would you look for if you were in a position to hire a new graduate?

I look for character, competence, and communication ability.
