Tell us about your career and what you do now.
I am a husband and father of three, and I’m married to a dairy farmer from South Dakota whom I met at Evangel. We’ve been together for 20 years.
I currently serve as the President of the Republic Chamber of Commerce, representing our area’s private sector. I also serve as the Chief Operating Officer of our family business, All-American Home Staging & Design/Rental & Sales, which operates across six locations. In addition, I am a sponsored athlete with 1st Phorm.
I have always been deeply involved in the community through active support of local nonprofits, churches, schools, first responders, and fellow businesses. This involvement has given me a strong, ground-level understanding of our area’s needs.
I am also a passionate advocate for entrepreneurship. My family and I have been blessed to experience the American Dream, and I am committed to encouraging others to pursue it as well.
I believe my career is a reflection of the plans God has for me and my family.

What is your favorite memory from Evangel?
I have many meaningful memories from Evangel, but a couple stand out.
After years of hard work, I had the privilege of winning a National Championship in the 400m dash and qualifying for eight individual National Championships throughout my college career.
I also met my future wife early in college, and some of my most cherished memories come from that time, sharing experiences with her and lifelong friends, living in the dorms, participating in intramural sports, eating meals in the cafeteria, attending chapel together, and ultimately asking her to marry me on Evangel’s campus during our senior year.
Evangel was truly one of the most impactful and formative times in our lives, and I hope my children have the opportunity to attend one day.

How did Evangel help you identify/develop your calling?
I grew up in the church and didn’t deeply question my beliefs until college. Evangel challenged me to do so through its biblical studies, which ultimately gave me a strong and lasting foundation of faith.
That foundation has allowed me not only to maintain my faith but also to actively apply it in my business, my family, and my relationships; using it to positively influence others and honor God in all I do.

How did your experience at Evangel prepare you for life after graduation?
My experience at Evangel gave me the tools to build daily consistency in my faith and instilled in me a heart to love and serve others.
While I had a desire to care for people before attending, Evangel strengthened and deepened that conviction. It challenged me not just to recognize needs, but to take action, working to help solve problems and make a meaningful impact.

What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?
Get involved in your field as early as possible through internships, shadowing, or part-time work. Real-world experience will teach you far more than theory alone.
Be willing to set aside assumptions and allow the real world to guide your understanding of what you truly need to learn and where your interests and strengths lie. Once you gain clarity on the skills required to pursue your passion, you can focus your education more intentionally and effectively.

What would you look for if you were in a position to hire new graduates from Evangel?
Consistency.
It may not sound glamorous, but consistency is one of the most important qualities I look for in an employee. It separates the best from the rest. Consistently showing up, following through, and honoring your commitments builds trust and leads to long-term success.
In addition to consistency, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude are essential. When combined, these qualities create a foundation for success in any career.
