Tell us about your career and what you do now.

After graduating in 2019, I attended Missouri State University and earned my MBA this year. As part of the accelerated MBA program, I worked as a graduate assistant for the dean of the College of Business. I recently began my professional career at Cerner working as a consultant. I partner with clients to offer healthcare information technology solutions, improve clinic efficiency, and increase billability of medical services rendered.

What is your favorite memory from Evangel?

My favorite memories revolve around my time spent as an RA, cultivating relationships on my floor, and building life-long friendships.

How did Evangel help you identify/develop your calling?

Evangel was a place that offered me an opportunity to develop my passions. My time serving with the student organization, Enactus, opened my eyes to the idea that business has the power to help people. Evangel was also a place where I developed business skills and a firm foundation in Christ that has shaped my passion for ethical leadership, social responsibility, and mission driven business.

What advice would you give a current student preparing for the workforce?

Take advantage of everything Evangel has to offer. Build a firm foundation in Christ, invest in life-long friendships, push yourself outside your comfort zone, and get involved in activities beyond the classroom. Leverage your college experience to find your passion and develop the skills you will need to achieve your dreams.

What would you look for if you were in a position to hire new graduates from Evangel?

Evangel students live by different standards and I know I can trust them to be model employees. Beyond character, I would look for a student that has been involved in classes, student organizations, internships, and community work. When I was interviewing for positions, employers wanted me to prove my success and involvement in multiple disciplines, and subsequently, that is what I would look for when hiring new Evangel grads.
