DVR Alert: Two Stories of Interest on National TV this Weekend

There are two national TV broadcasts of interest to the Evangel family this weekend:

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition

On Friday, January 13, the season finale of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Editionfeatures the building of seven homes in seven days in tornado-ravaged Joplin, Missouri. Evangel students and alumni were there:

  • Evangel’s SIFE and other students volunteered.
  • Evangel alumnus Hal Donaldson, founder and president of Convoy of Hope is featured and will make a major announcement. See story.
  • Evangel alumna Julie Higgins coordinated the massive volunteer effort for the entire event.

2012 Miss America Pageant
On Saturday, January 14, also on ABC, the Miss America Pageant features Evangel’s own Sydney Friar, a 2011 Communication graduate, as Miss Missouri.  Read an interview with Sydney.
