SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – Evangel University welcomed a new full-time faculty member for the spring 2023 semester.
Dr. Angela Reid is an associate professor and will serve as director of the Behavioral and Social Sciences online programs for EU’s College of Online Learning (COL).
“We are focused on developing new and innovative programs to meet the demand for online degrees,” said Dr. Lisa Tyson, COL dean. “Angela is the first full-time program director for COL, and her skill both administratively and with students in this space will be a huge asset as we continue to grow.”
Prior to this position, Reid instructed graduate counseling courses at Liberty University Online for 11 years.
She also previously served as an adjunct professor and clinical director for EU’s graduate counseling programs, leading students in real-world engagement in client services. She also held both part-time and full-time faculty positions at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS).
Reid holds a Bachelor of Arts in Missions and Intercultural Studies from Messenger College, a Master of Arts in Counseling from AGTS, and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Forest Institute. She is a licensed clinical psychologist and a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God.
“I’m delighted to partner with EU faculty and staff in the exciting expansion and development of COL programs. Online learning is an amazing vehicle for delivering rigorous academic programs from a Christian worldview while preparing leaders to step into their unique, God-given callings,” Reid said.
