A coaching minor can put your passion for sports into practice in a way that will benefit athletes and those around you. You’ll learn coaching theory, sports psychology, nutrition and care, and prevention of injuries. You’ll also learn more than just the day-to-day of coaching; you’ll learn about the broad scope of influence that athletics has and how, as a coach, you can create quality experiences and serve God by serving those you coach. This minor will help you succeed in your work as a coach, sharpening your potential to work with athletes and make a difference in your community.
Career Opportunities
A minor is a secondary field of interest that is meant to complement your academic major. While your major is chosen for your intended career choice, your minor may be something you pursue for your personal interest or to augment your major.Faculty
