Assistant Professor, Education Department Chair

Special Education / Disability Studies Program Coordinator

Board Member and EU Liaison to Achieve of Southwest Missouri

Never would I have realized when transferring to Evangel College in August 1984, the impact EU would have upon my life. As a first-generation high school graduate, higher education seemed impossible. The connections I made with professors and friends while at Evangel shaped my life and profession.
Although my journey took various paths over the years, looking back, it is evident that the Hand of God was on my life every step of the way. Returning to Evangel as a professor is a way I feel I can give back to others what was given to me so many years ago. Evangel prepared me for and provided me with opportunities that otherwise I may have never experienced. One of the best and most important things I received from Evangel was meeting my wife, Karen. Together, Karen and I were blessed to be the parents of eleven children through adoption.
