SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel University Faculty Brass Quintet will present their spring concert in the recital hall of the Barnett Fine Arts Center on Monday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public. The Fine Arts Center is located south of the Robert H. Spence Chapel, facing Glenstone Ave.
The group serves as the brass quintet-in-residence at Evangel University. Members include Dr. Eric Jackson (horn), Matt Moore (trombone), Dr. Brad Coker (tuba), Darren Eddington (trumpet) and Tim Wootton (trumpet). Evangel’s Faculty Brass Quintet also performs concerts, clinics, workshops and other events in the region.
The concert will include a variety of selections from sacred music transcriptions to classical compositions. Kinderszirkus, by Jan Koetsier, is the featured piece displaying musical depictions of a circus.
“We have had a lot of fun preparing this music, and we trust the audience will enjoy it as well,” said Wootton.

The Department of Music at Evangel University offers majors in music, music education, music performance, music business/technology and worship leadership.
