Second performance added — A Night on Broadway: Benefit Concert for Convoy of Hope

Published on Feb 8, 2018 by Paul K. Logsdon

SPRINGFIELD, MO — Due to popular demand, a second show has been added to Evangel University’s presentation of A Night on Broadway: Benefit Concert for Convoy of Hope. It will be held on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 11, at 4 p.m., in the Barnett Fine Arts Center.

An enthusiastic crowd of 300 filled the auditorium for the Thursday night premier of the student-produced event, featuring songs from Broadway shows ranging from Hamilton to Oklahoma to an amazing rendition of “Circle of Life” from The Lion King.

More than 30 students are volunteering their time and talents to aid communities affected by natural disasters. One-hundred percent of the proceeds go to Convoy of Hope’s disaster relief efforts.

The price of admission is either a monetary donation, or a donation of hygiene kit materials, such as bars of soap, hand towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, combs and stick deodorants.

The show is co-produced by Joshua Little and Juliana Beatie, senior music education majors. Choreography is directed by Mariah Stelling, a junior elementary education major.

The Barnett Fine Arts Center is located north of the Chapel facing Glenstone Ave. Doors open at 3:3o p.m.
