Fast-tracking for missions — AGTS of Evangel filling the need

Missionary assistants, or MAs, are the largest group that feed into the system and eventually become appointed general missionaries for the Assemblies of God... and, according to Hager, Evangel University has been the largest provider of MAs to AGWM for more than a decade. In light of this, the AGTS intercultural program for bachelor’s level students at Evangel has developed a system for “fast-tracking” students into AGWM by way of the Missionary (MAPS) and Missionary Associate (MA) programs.

Enactus Team from Evangel University excels at nationals

Evangel University business students returned from the 2019 Enactus USA National Exposition with two trophies and $4,000 for their efforts. The Expo was held May 5-7 in Kansas City. The Evangel team won the Jack Shewmaker Enactus Spirit Award for 2019. The Enactus motto is “A Head for Business, A Heart for the World,” and there are 404 active teams in the U.S., engaging 10,183 college students in more than 665 community projects.
