Welcome to our Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) program page! I’m so pleased you are checking us out. The fully online, cohort-based Ed.D. is a 50-hour, high- quality degree program. Currently, our program is recognized as 14th on a list of the top 25 most affordable online Doctor of Education programs in the country by EdDprograms.org, one of the most trusted online resources for students and professionals interested in graduate education programs. Courses are taught by veteran K-12 and university leaders with several years of practical experience.

Evangel’s Ed.D. is a practical degree program that is student centered and project based. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds from teacher leaders, instructional coaches, and university faculty to K-12 administrators. Regardless of their backgrounds or professional context, our students often share that they can immediately apply what they are learning in their Ed.D. coursework.

Career preparation pathways available through the Evangel Ed.D. include

  • K-12 Administration
    •  Missouri DESE approved building administrator certificate pathway
    • Missouri DESE approved school superintendent certificate
  • Curriculum and Instruction Leadership
    • 12 hours of elective credit for teacher leadership/district-level curriculum and instruction leadership coming in the Fall 2022.
  • Higher Education Faculty/Leader
    • 12 hours of elective credit in higher education leadership for those pursuing a career in higher education
