Master of Education in Literacy (Online)

Inspire a passion for reading in the next generation of students as you build your leadership in literacy skills.

Welcome to the Master of Education in Literacy!  We are thrilled you are joining us on this journey to inspire the next generation of literacy learners!

Our goal in the Literacy program is to equip classroom teachers with in-depth knowledge in the field of literacy. Our 30-credit online program Master of Education (M. Ed) in Literacy offers practical coursework that is immediately applicable to the classroom. You will walk away with strategies to lead students to ongoing success in all content areas, as well as the opportunity to gain a certificate in Special Reading from Department of Missouri and Secondary Education (DESE).

Outstanding faculty with a wealth of literacy knowledge and experience will mentor you through your program. Learners will be provided with many hands-on opportunities that prepare them to be literacy leaders who will impact individual students, classrooms, and whole schools to be empowered literacy communities.

The two course per semester format maximizes personal learning and provides flexible schedule options that complement your busy lifestyle.
