Applying for the Doctor of Ministry Program

Continue your growth personally and spiritually while honing cutting-edge skills and competence in the practice of ministry. In this 30-hour program, you will attend intensive one-week, on-campus courses in the fall and spring semesters. Online electives are offered in the summer semester. Begin your journey in August, January, or May.

Admissions Standards

Candidates for admission must be born-again and display evidence of a dedicated Christian life. Candidates must demonstrate significant ministry experience and be currently involved in full-time or co-vocational ministry (e.g., pastor, teacher, missionary, denominational or para-church organizational leader, chaplain, evangelist, counselor, etc.). Individuals must have an earned Master of Divinity degree or other ministry-related master’s degree from an accredited graduate school with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.

    Apply Online

    To begin your journey at AGTS, start by submitting your online application through our user-friendly admissions portal.

    Send Transcripts

    Please send transcripts from all colleges you attended. When possible, we prefer to receive transcripts electronically from services such as Parchment (Naviance), SCOIR, or through the National Clearinghouse.

    Transcripts can be emailed from your school to EU’s Online & Graduate Student Services at OGSSadmissions@evangel.edu. Connect with your admissions counselor when requesting grad course transfer credit.

    Complete Housing Agreement

    When planning to study in person and you would like to live on campus, complete your housing agreement.

    Send Official Transcripts

    Final official transcripts are required before beginning classes. All offers of admission are conditional until final official transcripts are received.

Application Deadlines

Meeting priority deadlines provides you the best opportunity to secure a seat in the program. Meeting the standard deadline will allow you ample time to complete all necessary pre-enrollment steps including course registration, financial aid, and flexible payment options. After the standard deadline, applicants are considered as space is available. When admitted, our team will work with you to help you complete all necessary steps to enroll.

After Admission

  1. Upon admission, you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign into your student portal. All pre-enrollment steps can be completed online through your student portal. You can also click here for instructions on setting up your student portal. Questions? Connect with your admissions counselor for assistance.
  2. When planning to utilize federal financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using Evangel’s code 002463 as soon as possible after it becomes available.
  3. Review your financial aid offer and respond promptly to financial aid requests for additional information and/or paperwork.
  4. Finalize financial aid and payment prior to beginning class.
