Community Relief and Development - Evangel University

Community Relief and Development

Develop a theology of compassion as you learn how to thoughtfully respond to issues of diversity, community development, crisis intervention, and disaster response.

Our innovative minor program, offered through the Center for Compassion, provides practical training as you combine your Christian worldview with the concept of biblical justice specific to community relief and development.

You will learn how to understand issues of diversity, basic principles of disaster response, the role of the church in compassionate action, and concepts of crisis intervention as related to relief and development strategies. Our experienced professors will provide guidance and mentorship as you discover your calling.

A capstone internship with a non-profit organization specializing in community relief and/or development will provide real-world experience and training. Combine your passion for a helping profession with your faith as you pursue career opportunities.
