Evangel University is a comprehensive Christian university committed to excellence in educating and equipping students to become Spirit-empowered servants of God who impact the Church and society globally.

Accordingly, while on campus, during an off-campus class, or at any Evangel University function, students, faculty, staff, and administrators are expected to: Respect God, others, and self at all times and comply with the University’s policies, laws and professional standards. Highlighted (not all inclusive) policies are listed below:

 Harassment/Violence: To secure an environment in which community members are able to flourish and to achieve their full potential, the University is committed to ensuring that no act of harassment, intimidation or violence will be tolerated in the University community

 Alcohol and Substance Abuse: The University’s position on substance abuse is simple: it is incompatible with the health and safety of our employees, and we don’t permit it. Evangel University is a tobacco, drug and alcohol-free working environment. Illegal drugs, alcohol and tobacco on campus or at sponsored events are strictly prohibited

 Gambling: Gambling activities must not be conducted on University premises. Discretion may be used in relation to small raffles for charitable purposes or fund raising activities for student mission trips.

 Conduct Outside Work: The University does not seek to dictate how employees conduct themselves in their personal lives outside work. However, unlawful, anti-social or other conduct by employees contrary to Christian beliefs or University policies which may jeopardize the University’s reputation or position will be dealt with through the disciplinary procedure. Community members are expected to conduct themselves in public and in social media in a manner that is God honoring and true to the words of Christ.

The University seeks to ensure that the work environment for its employees is supportive, one where individuality is respected, and diversity is celebrated. The University does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnic background, gender, age, (dis)ability, or status as a veteran in any of its policies, practices or procedures. However, as a private religious institution owned by the General Council of the Assemblies of God, the university does have the right to exercise religious preference on all hiring practices in accordance with Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

New Testament FacultyDecember 10, 2021The New Testament Professor must have ministerial credentials with the General Council of the Assemblies of God. He or she will be an academic advisor and personal mentor to students, support and participate in spiritual life at Evangel University and AGTS and teach courses in New Testament.
Director of Hispanic InitiativeMarch 4, 2022The Director of Hispanic Initiative is responsible for the coordination of external partnerships to recruit more Spanish-speaking students to the Bilingual Master of Leadership and Ministry Program. He or she will manage adjunct faculty, design courses, and teach graduate level students in the program.
Assistant Professor of Education for Doctor of Education ProgramMarch 25, 2022The Assistant Professor of Education for the Doctor of Education Program is a full-time tenure track faculty position primarily serving doctoral students enrolled in the Doctor of Education in Education Leadership, Curriculum, and Instruction (EdD) program. This faculty member will teach graduate courses online, serve on dissertation committees, and lead dissertation committees while advising students through the dissertation research and writing process.
Assistant Professor of Social WorkApril 18, 2022The Assistant Professor of Social Work will teach a full load of undergraduate social work courses. This position involves administrative and curricular oversight of undergraduate social work field education. It also includes academic advising, supervising student clubs, fostering relationships with community agencies, and other aspects of a thriving undergraduate social work program.

This individual will assist the Library Director by overseeing the specific operations and services of the AGTS library branch location while also playing a significant role in the information literacy instruction process.
Mechanical Department SupervisorMarch 8, 2022The Mechanical Department Supervisor supervises HVAC and Central Heating Plant personnel to insure that all related equipment and systems are operated and maintained in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. He or she will size, purchase and supervise the installation of HVAC, steam generating and ancillary equipment in cooperation with the Director of Facilities in a timely manner. He or she will solicit, evaluate, schedule and monitor contractual work relating to HVAC and central heating plant equipment.

He or she will provide software and network support, training, and troubleshooting in a networked environment. He or she will strive for excellence by innovating, pro-action, and performing root cause analysis.
Vice President for Student DevelopmentApril 5, 2022The Vice President for Student Development (VPSD) provides vision and leadership for all Student Development programs and services of the University, Public Safety, the Counseling Center, and the Health Center. The VPSD reports to the President, is a member of the President’s Cabinet and the University Planning Council. The VPSD works collaboratively with other Cabinet and Council members. The VPSD ensures compliance with all legal standards and guidelines related to Student Development.

Student Life Coordinator/System AdministratorApril 18, 2022The Student Life Coordinator/System Administrator will develop and administer the Campus Groups system for extracurricular involvement, making partnerships, providing training campus-wide, and utilizing data for assessment. To work with the Commuter Council to address commuter needs through events and programming. He or she will handle administrative duties for the Community Life and Student Activities departments including departmental budgets, EU Launch purchasing, and assistance with other department events and projects.

The RD serves to support Evangel’s commitment to the integration of faith, living, and learning, as well as the behavioral standards of the University. Primarily responsible for: setting a positive role model and spiritual example; building community among residents: supervising and mentoring student leaders; supporting and developing educational programming; implementing administrative and judicial responsibilities; and maintaining professional standards. The RD is supervised by the Director of Community Life (DCL) and works with a team of five RDs to provide a cohesive co-curricular residential program for students.

Event Management CoordinatorMay 10, 2022The Event Management Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of conference, event, and meeting planning services. This includes the preparation of audio/visual production, security, custodial, and catering logistics for all conferences, meetings, and events. He or she is responsible for management of all University events.
Mabee Fitness Center Front Desk SupervisorMay 20, 2022The Mabee Fitness Center Front Desk Supervisor maintains safety, cleanliness, and hospitality within the Mabee Fitness Center. He or she enforces policies, interacts with patrons, supervises work studies, logs facility usage, checks out equipment, and submits work requests and incident reports when needed.
