Theology and Global Church Ministries Department

As the national university of the Assemblies of God, Evangel is the place to study and prepare for a life in church ministry, missionary work, and theology.

The undergraduate program draws upon Central Bible College, Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and Evangel University’s combined 190 years of experience in preparing pastors, missionaries, chaplains, and other Christian educators for Spirit-empowered leadership in ministries worldwide.

Major degree areas within the Theology Department include Bible, Church Ministries, Intercultural Studies (Missions), and Youth Ministry.

Integrating the best of all three traditions, the school delivers enhanced ministerial preparation in a variety of traditional, hybrid, and accelerated formats, all the way from bachelor’s to doctoral degrees in Bible and Theology, Ministry, Missiology, Philosophy and Intercultural Studies. In association with the Center for Holy Land Studies, and the seminary offer enhanced contextual learning in the Land of the Bible.

Interested in Visiting Israel? We offer opportunities to visit the Holy Land, and experience the Bible come to life. For more information about upcoming trips, contact Dr. Michael Jaffe.

Transform an entire community with Christ. Evangel and Life360's Impact USA is looking for motivated students and graduates who are willing to go where others are not and change communities others have overlooked. Impact USA offers practical hands-on experience while working on your degree. When you graduate, you will lead or be a part of a team that will plant a community center and church in a rural town. Once you graduate and successfully complete the program, you are guaranteed a full-salaried position and student loan repayment!

The professors in the Theology & Global Church Ministries Department taught me that what we think about God will affect how we live our lives for God. Study became more than a mental exercise, but a form of worship through which to encounter God. Evangel gave me an incredible foundation for a life of ministry and worship.
